WordPress to Android app
Turn your WordPress site into a signed, Play-ready Android app in about a minute. Free to build, no code required.
WordPress powers most of the sites that become ApkZio apps: blogs, news portals, magazines and WooCommerce stores. Because the app loads your live site, every post you publish appears instantly, and push notifications bring readers back for the next one.
Why WordPress sites make great apps
- Responsive themes already fit a phone screen, so the app looks native from the first launch.
- New posts and products show up in the app the moment you publish, with no rebuild.
- WooCommerce checkout, login and account pages work inside the app, including payment gateways that use redirects.
- Push notifications for new posts can be wired to OneSignal in minutes.
Before you build
- Make sure the site is served over HTTPS with no mixed content.
- If you use a maintenance-mode or coming-soon plugin, disable it for the app to load.
- Check that your theme does not block embedding with an X-Frame-Options header set to DENY for your own domain (ApkZio does not use iframes, but some security plugins block WebView user agents).
- Add a mobile menu that is easy to use with a thumb; the app hides the browser chrome, so navigation is all yours.
Then paste your URL above, brand the app, and download a signed APK and AAB. If you change the site later, the app updates itself; rebuild only when you change the icon, name or native features.
Paste your URL
Enter any public website address. ApkZio fetches the title, icon and theme colour automatically and checks the site can be wrapped.
Brand your app
Set the name, icon, colours, splash screen and orientation. Switch on push notifications, offline mode, AdMob or native bridges.
Download and publish
Get a release-signed APK for direct install and an AAB for Google Play, plus your keystore so future updates stay yours.

Release-signed APK + AAB
Every build is signed with a keystore you download and own, so you can publish updates to Google Play forever.
Google Play ready
Targets the current Android API, 64-bit, splash-screen API and edge-to-edge, so the bundle passes Play Console checks.
Branding studio
App name, adaptive icon, splash screen, theme and status-bar colours, package ID and version, all set in the browser.
Push notifications
Connect OneSignal or Firebase Cloud Messaging in one step and bring readers and customers back.
Offline mode
Cache visited pages, show a branded offline screen and pull-to-refresh, so the app never feels broken on a bad connection.
AdMob monetisation
Drop in your AdMob IDs for banner and interstitial slots. Your app, your revenue.
Native bridges
Camera and file uploads, downloads, geolocation, deep links and external links in Chrome Custom Tabs.
Always up to date
Change your website and the app changes with it. Rebuild only when you change a native setting.

Is ApkZio really free?
Yes. Building, downloading and installing your app costs nothing and you do not need a credit card. The Free plan adds a small ApkZio badge to the splash screen and limits you to three builds a day; Pro removes the badge and unlocks push notifications, AdMob and offline mode.
Can I publish the app on Google Play?
Yes. Every build includes an Android App Bundle (AAB) signed with a keystore you download, which is exactly what the Play Console asks for. Follow the publishing guide in our docs; you will need a Google Play developer account and a privacy policy URL.
What is the difference between APK and AAB?
The APK is a single file you can install directly on any Android phone or share with testers. The AAB is the publishing format Google Play requires; Play generates optimised APKs from it for each device. ApkZio gives you both.
Who owns the keystore and the app?
You do. The signing keystore is generated for your app, offered for download with the first build, and never reused across customers. Keep it safe: Google Play only accepts updates signed with the same key.
Does my website need to be online?
For URL-based apps, yes: the app loads your live site, so content updates instantly without a rebuild. If you upload an HTML or ZIP package instead, the pages are bundled inside the app and work fully offline.
Will the app work offline?
With offline mode enabled, visited pages are cached and shown when the connection drops, with a branded offline screen and a retry button. Pages that have never been opened still need a connection unless you bundle them as HTML.
